What to do if the Winner does not Pay?
You listed your item and added images to your work at home eBay item which all charge fees. After waiting your predetermined time your item was bided on and won but the winner is not responding to you and most importantly not paying. This goes against eBay’s terms of services (TOS) and there are steps to follow in order to justify your case.
If the seller does not pay:
- Send the winner an invoice requesting payment with the amount of days in order to respond. Five should be a good enough time limit.
- After that send an invoice every day for the next five days.
- Email eBay and ask eBay for assistance such as winners phone number.
- Send a detailed description to eBay with steps taken to receive payment. They will force a payment or ban that member from eBay.
These steps will help the situation about 90% of the time and they are good steps to follow on every sale. Always remember that a buyer has agreed to all fees including shipping before placing the bid. If a mistake was made on part you may choose to mutually decline on the sale but always ask for listing fees and your own personal time. When you get to step 4 that means that you will be paying those fees from your own pocket so subtract these fees from your own pocket so subtract these fees from the sale next time to determine your profits.
